Last Week’s Jams, Today (1.24 – 1.28)

It’s always great to start out the week by looking back upon the week that was, and while perhaps not an abundance of tunes like there was the previous week, there was definitely great musical news. Papercuts announced a new LP, with two new songs from the record, and both are here for fun below! Plus, Finnish outfit Rules dropped a new single, and I just can’t stop raving about Lewsberg and Apollo Ghosts. And somehow it all gets wrapped up with a new Ducks Ltd single? I’ll take it. Revisit last week with us!

Last Week’s Jams, Today (1.17 – 1.20)

We got some great music last week, either in single form, or in album form, so we’re grateful for last week. We collected all the jams from last week and put them on your doorstep in this light little playlist. We start off with the great new Say Eyed Beatniks tune, which incidentally is not called Hysterial Roosters, but rather “Hysterical Rooters.” Plus, our friends in Good Looks announced an LP with our other friends, Keeled Scales, so double win there. And, there’s a few jams from great records from Artsick, Good Good Blood and Jana Horn, so sit back and enjoy the day. P.S…I thought I was clever bookending it with Bay Area hits.

Last Week’s Jams, Today (1.10 – 1.14)

Well, I will admit, there were so many songs last week that I loved that I may have gotten a touch carried away. I mean that new Methyl Ethyl with Stella Donnelly is a banger, plus new stuff from our friends in Blushing and the Reds Pinks and Purples! We even got to premiere some sweet tunes that only exist in special places, like our site, namely the latest from Yea-Ming and the Rumors and Good Grief. So, browse through this hour of tunes, and I beg you to find a bad one in there. You can’t! I’ll try to keep up the momentum this week!

Last Week’s Jams, Today (1.3 – 1.7)

Well, we’re back at it folks, scrambling back into the new year, which feels an awful lot like the last year, except, well, there are new tunes. I didn’t go too overboard, as I was trying to get my feet underneath me for another semester, so we only had about 10 news jams, but unfortunately, only 9 are available via everyone’s least favorite streaming service. Most of these are brand new singles, with a heavy focus on the forthcoming Slumberland catalog, courtesy of Artsick and Kids on a Crime Spree, plus some of our favorites like Modern Nature, Nah… and Husbands reminded us what they’re all about. So, have it. Stream on!

Last Week’s Jams, Today (12.6 – 12.10)

It’s weird that the musical year sort of just stops once everyone puts out their year-end lists, but since that’s the case, this week’s playlist is just a mere 13 jams to get you through the week. It might also be the last playlist of jams we put up in 2021; if everyone’s taking off then I am too, dammit! But, there’s a lot of jams to be had in this list, like the opening jam from Artsick. Plus, you get some new Austin love from Blushing and A. Sincliar, then a few hits from Japanese acts like Merry Christmas and Nicfit. Whatevers, indulge yourself.

Last Week’s Jams, Today (11.29 – 12.3)

Happy Monday! We’re still here, still covering sweet jams, though we’re not really working too hard on the cred-required year end lists. Still, last week we tossed up almost 20 new jams, so figured we should run a little recap. You get new hits from the Bay Area via Reds, Pinks and Purples, Kids on a Crime Spree and Sad Eyed Beatniks, plus some videos from our friends in Central Heat Exchange. I included a Smashing Times track from their 2021 LP because we loved their new 7″, though its not quite up on the streaming sites yet. Also, if you didn’t check out that Fortunato Durutti Marinetti track yet, what are you waiting for?

Last Week’s Jams, Today (11.22 – 11.26)

We took a break last week, albeit just for a few days to spend time with our families, so instead of the usual hour, you get just a mere 30 minutes of sweet sweet music. A few of the tunes I tossed up don’t exist on the streaming sites, so I just pulled in some other hits…from Great Lakes and Ted Leo, so maybe you’ll go back and check out the site, or check out their other work. Also, got some new stuff from Fawns of Love and Kaputt, so while it’s a shorter list than usual, it’s not short on jams. Enjoy your week folks.

Last Week’s Jams, Today (11.8 – 11.12)

We’re here with your weekly addition of Last Week’s Jams, with a slight little spin on things this week. For starters, there were certainly some jams on our pages, so we hope you’ll revisit…may I recommend the Crabber record again? Plus, you’ve got the new hits from Slumberland Records (who had a killer week in our eyes). And, in the end, I threw in a couple of tracks from shows we were able to see last week, or the week before, just as a reminder for us when we listen to our own playlists! Listen to some songs, and have a really great week friends!

Last Week’s Jams, Today (11.1 – 11.5)

Last week had some jams, I tell ya! I’m looking at our playlist and seeing only a bit more than a dozen tunes, but I’m also seeing a few that might squeak into my year end list. I mean, I can’t stop playing “Bunny Man” for fuck’s sake! Plus, hits from new acts to get turned onto, like Cola and Whoop. Plus, that one band The Red Pinks and Purples has another release coming! Thanks to friends for also turning me onto stuff like Courtesy and the Antelopes! Sit back and enjoy!

Last Week’s Jams Today (10.18 – 10.22)

We were back on our game last week, for the most part. We had tons of great tunes, so we’re hoping you caught wind of at least a few of these on the site. But, if you didn’t, Monday’s a great day to just sit back in your chair and relax. I also threw in a few tunes from the likes of Spirit Was, Keg, Power Supply, Belaver and Dummy who all released most excellent albums last week. You get 20 songs to ease you into this week. Might I still suggest listening to Japan Review. That Rural France tune isn’t half bad either!
