How’d I Miss This Pony Time Track?!

So you should probably already know this by now, but just in case you’ve been asleep or out of the country, Pony Time are about to release another album called Rumours 2: The Rumours Are True on September 11th. They already shared “Time Tells Me” a few weeks back and now we’ve been treated to another track called “Really Nice Guys,” that’s got a rough and tumble DIY feel to it as the band rolls through. I’m digging the choppy sound of the song and the full drum sounds that carries the tune. Luke Beetham’s vocals provide the cohesive element to the mix that brings everything together in the rag-tag tune. Take a listen and get ready for that new album.

Jam This Breezy Rocker From Pony Time

Pony Time have broken the news that they are returning with what will be their fourth studio record, Rumours 2: The Rumours Are True, on September 11th and they’ve shared with us this first track from that upcoming record. Below is “Time Tells Me,” which is a blend of straight up rock with surfy influences like these light and airy drums. The guitar on the track is a little crunchy, blasting through subtly at the start of the song and then it slowly overcomes the smooth vocals to take center stage. Take a listen and get ready for that new album.

Ultra Lo-Fi/ Punk From Childbirth

If you’re looking for pretty and clean girl pop then you’ve come to the wrong post. Childbirth is a supergroup comprised of members from Chastity Belt, Tacocat and Pony Time and word on the street is that they’re coming back with their sophomore record, Women’s Rights which is due October 2nd on Suicide Squeeze Records. This single from that record is called “Nasty Grrls,” and features perfectly imperfect punk vocals that chime in and out of the mix enumerating the rough edges and habits of these nasty gurlz while the guitars are fuzzy and lo-fi. The whole track will lodge itself into your brain for hours if you’re not careful, but maybe that’s a good thing. Get nasty with these ladies.
