One of the highlights of the Summer season, musically speaking, has to be this fresh Autocamper record scheduled for early July. This particular tune has both the directness and the brightness that we’re guaranteed to find in the confines of the album. For those who’ve been following the band, the immediacy is really special, especially when the throaty vocals come into play, channeling a more upbeat version of Beat Happening. I like where the vocals combine, too, as that brings in the ray of sunshine, sprinkling melody all over the listener as the energy rushes forward. Little bit of indie rock, whole lot of hooks; you need to grab the group’s What Do You Do All Day LP, out on July 11th via Slumberland Records/Safe Suburban Home.

Best of 2019 According to Rat Fancy/Solidarity Club

Diana and Greg are a power team. They work together on Greg’s Solidarity Club label, and together, they rock under the name Rat Fancy; this year they released the album Stay Cool via HHBTM, and it’s definitely worth your time. Since I’m giving a good deal of list making up to our friends and idols, we reached out to see what the two thought were the best releases of 2019.

Throwback Jam From Into It. Over It.

For whatever reason, I’ve found myself being quite nostalgic lately and spinning tracks from the post-punk/emo era like Alkaline Trio, Saves the Day, and the like. With that said, you can probably see why this new song “Spinning Thread” from Into it. Over it. might be something I’d fall for during my current throwback music mindset. I immediately hear sonic qualities similar to the bands I just mentioned and that’s doing it for me today. Beyond that, it’s a great tune with some catchy drums and a near perfect vocal delivery.

Fans can pick up new album Proper on September 24th via Triple Crown Records.
