So you’re not really the Halloween sort, or maybe you are. What we do know is that you need to enjoy rock n’ roll in some manner, otherwise it wouldn’t the crazy night we all expect! We’ve got a deal for you; you can win a pair of tickets to see Crocodiles at Empire Room…FREE. The band comes in town to support their recent Crimes of Passion LP, and they’ll be joined by Royal Bangs and local act Growl. It seems perfect if you’re looking for last minute plans to come together. All you have to do is leave a comment telling us what you’ll be for Halloween, or what you hope people don’t wear as a costume. Either way, you have the best idea, you have a free pair of tickets. Show Review: Two Door Cinema Club @ LZR (3/15)

A bit lost in the shuffle of SxSW was a show at La Zona Rosa on the Tuesday before the full on start of the Music Festival. The lineup featured an interesting combination of bands in town for the conference; Bad Veins, Royal Bangs and Two Door Cinema Club. Impressions of each and some pics after the jump, but I’ll let you know now that Two Door was awesome…

New Music From Royal Bangs

Knoxville based electro-pop band Royal Bangs have a new single called “Fireball” floating around the web. The tune is set to appear on the new LP from the band Flux Outside due out March 29th on Glassnote Records. It’s a bit of a spastic number, but I am digging it none the less. It’s a good time for a new song from Royal Bangs as they are also playing tons of show this week. You can catch a full list of where they’ll be on their myspace page.
