Give A Warm Welcome to Spesh
With my age getting into the higher numbers, it sometimes seems quite difficult to find a new band that excites me as much as Seattle based Spesh. Take this new single “Teflon” as an example of a band’s sheer talent and tell me it doesn’t spark a fire in you in some way. From my first listen, it sounded quite a bit like some of the earlier work from The Cure if the lead vocalist wasn’t so damned depressed all the time. Maybe it’s inspired by bands from the 80s new wave/pop music, or whomever may inspire them, the track will surely delight.
Spesh will release new album Famous Worlds on September 28th via Killroom Records.


Admittedly, writing about music consistently for the past 10 years occasionally wears you down; it’s never forgiving, and you run across the same sound more often than you’d like to admit…depending on the current trends. Then you stumble across something like
