Another New Katie Von Schleicher Tune
After witnessing the genius of Aldous Harding last evening, it seems only fitting that I’d fall in love with another slow-moving chanteuse, Katie Von Schleicher. Her music’s been on my radar for some time, but I’m appreciative of her restraint in this latest single. To me, it sounds like she crafted the song based on vocals alone, then built the tune up by texturing with various layers of ambient sounds…be it a pulsing heartbeat or ghostly notes floating in the distance.
