San Marcos finest, This Will Destroy You, are coming to the ATX at Emo’s on Friday night. The lineup rounds out nicely with Lymbyc System, Sleep Whale and Loxsly. Should be a great night with some talented bands.

November is going to be a busty month for our local label Western Vinyl. They already have plans to release the much anticipated Ola Podrida record on the 3rd, but now we have news that they plan to also release the new album by Denton duo, Sleep Whale. According to release info, Houseboat is slated to hit our streets on the 10th. Take a sample.

This Will Destroy You are a band who are of course often compared unfairly to fellow Texas instrumental band Explosions in the Sky. We like to think of them as a few parts Explosions mixed with some old school Appleseed Cast sounds. Regardless, the band is coming to town at the Mohawk on Thursday and it should be a nice option for your nights music endeavors. Sleep Whale & Power Animal are joining in as opening support. Cover charge is $10 and doors are at 9pm.
