Tara Jane O’Neil Will Make Your Day Better

If you know what’s good for you, you’ll be taking in every bit of beauty that comes your way and cherishing it for as long as you can. This track from Tara Jane O’Neil is three minutes of lush folk bliss that you shouldn’t pass up. “Sand” may be slow, but the moment you embark on listening to the song, you’ll be enraptured by the way the guitars gently flicker in and out, while some orchestral instruments swell on the bottom layer of the song. Tara Jane O’Neil’s voice is rich and sweet, but not overpoweringly sugary– rather ethereal and smooth. Take a listen below and look out for her self-titled album which is out April 21st via Gnomonsong Records.

Gorgeous New Track from Tara Jane O’neil

It’s nice to find a tune that regardless of its lyrical content, it forces you to look at your like with a bit of introspection.  I don’t know what it is, but this new song from Tara Jane Oneil has put me in this ultra-reflective mode today…I’m actually okay with that as I near the end of my time with 120 13 year olds.  This single is the A-Side to TJO’s newest release on K Records, which also features “Rainbow Connection” as the B-Side.  Tara sounds incredible here, and I can’t do much more than just fall in love with her voice at this time.  Hopefully you find a similar sentiment when you listen, and if so, be sure to pick it up at the K Store.

New Tunes from Tara Jane Oneil

tjThere’s something to be said about a young soul with the spirit of a wise one, and Tara Jane Oneil is precisely such a person.  She’s got the spirit of wonderment, and despite the beauty of this song, “Drowning” there’s something haunting in her delivery, but in a completely endearing way.  Yea, it’s a mellow number for sure, but one to ease you into the weekend with the magic of her voice alone.  Her record A Ways Away comes out via K Records on May 5th. Also, be on the lookout for this young lass during SXSW.
