In my opinion, there’s never a bad time to find yourself in love with a Constant Follower track; Stephen McAll’s outfit is one of the last great remnants of folk-rock, still built around lush soundscapes, almost seeming more instrumental at times than folk-oriented. This new tune operates as sort of a reflection; it merely exists, as the pace is nearly stripped in favor of a dense musical world. In doing so, the group allows you to just sit and bask in the emotion, take a moment to glance around and just relish in your existence…or you know, that’s where my brain took it. This one appears on The Smile You Send Out Returns to You, out on February 28th from Last Night From Glasgow.
