New Music from Tomorrows Tulips

tomorrows_tulips_-_indy_rock_royalty_comb_cover__sm_3Been a weird few days for me, which is where this new track from Tomorrows Tulips fits into my world. It’s simple in about every possible way; the guitar just hangs out there, meandering through your speakers, vocals dripped atop the mix and percussion just plodding along. Still, something about it found its way into my mind, and I loved the band’s last full-length effort, so I’m interested to see where the rest of their forthcoming iNdy rock royalty comb ep goes. It’s being released by Burger Records, and doesn’t hurt that Calvin Johnson recorded it, so grab it HERE.

New Music from Tomorrow’s Tulips

ttYou ever discover one of those tracks that makes you go “what the fuck?” “What is this?” Yet, then you realize you’ve played the track a dozen times and now your stuck? That’s precisely what I got from this coffee shop haunt of a tune from Tomorrow’s Tulips.  There’s minimal percussion, quieted guitar bits, and this deep croon that weaves its way throughout the song.  It’s really a song that pulls you in emotionally; it’s like watching a train wreck, yet you can’t pull your eyes away…making this quite a remarkable number.  You’ll be able to find this tune on their new album, When, which is being released by Burger Records on October 7th.

More New Music From Tomorrows Tulips

Here’s another new sweet jam from lo-fi garage rockers Tomorrow Tulips called “Casual Hopelessness”.  As previously stated, I just can’t seem to get enough of this style right now and these guys are certainly helping quell my appetite for the genre.  This song comes after we already heard new song “Eternally Teenage”.  Both of these new rocking numbers will appear on the upcoming debut LP Eternally Teenage due out July 19th on Galaxia Records.

New Music From Tomorrows Tulips

I don’t know what the hell is wrong with me these days, but I just can’t seem to get enough of this garage rock throwback stuff that’s ever so popular right now.  Tomorrows Tulips are another band ready to join the movement and please the ears of ATH RayRay.  The band features vocals by Alex Knost who used to front solid indie-rock band Japanese Motors, and Knost’s girlfriend Christina Keyes.  If you like the new single “Eternally Teenage” found below, you can get your hands on the debut LP from Tomorrows Tulips on June 19th via Galaxia Records.
