This is fine.
After spending several weeks listening to Pain is Beauty by Chelsea Wolfe, I was really anticipating an incredible show on Friday. Her voice and her continual growth led to a rather full crowd of eager lookie-loos yearning to hear her dark take on pop music. She was joined by Dallas act True Widow who aimed to set off the night in the right way.

Tons of shows are going down in Austin this weekend, but we highly recommend you keep the Chelsea Wolfe show going down at Mohawk on your list of things to do. I’ve always been a fan of Chelsea and her music so this should be a great show. Opening support is provided by Dallas’ own True Widow.

Psych rock San Francisco band Sleepy Sun are making a stop at The Parish on Saturday evening in Austin. Joining the rockers are True Widow and Austin’s very own The Astronaut Suit and Brother Ghost. For such a relatively cheap price, this has got to be a great option for a stacked lineup at one of the finest venues in Austin.

Our local blogmeister Ultra8201 is putting on a pretty slick little party this Saturday at La Zona Rosa. The lineup is being kept totally local with hot Austin band Ume headlining along with fellow locals True Widow and The White White Lights providing your opening entertainment. Now that we have sufficiently hyped up The Appleseed Cast’s latest release Sagarmatha, it’s time for the boys to play a show in our little town. You can catch the band at Mohawk this Saturday evening along with True Widow and Austin locals The Calm Blue Sea. Tickets are running at $10 with doors set to open at 8pm.
