SXSW 2023 – Wrap Up

Yet another SXSW Festival is behind us and the ATH team covered a whole lot of ground during our week of music and fun. Last Week’s Jams (3.13 – 3.17)

We obviously had a busy week being out and about in Austin, but we did cover some tracks early in the week we wanted to remind you of from the likes of Cindy and John Andrew. But, the rest of this week’s playlist of tracks includes singles from all the band’s we caught live and fell in love with during SXSW. Fortunately for you, the three of us all have distinctly different tastes, with lots of overlap, so you’re going to get a pretty varied jam session here this Monday morning. Sit back, and stream on.

About Last Night – Tuesday, March 14th @ SXSW

I find it strange that there’s so much complaining in the “industry” about SXSW. Sure, the payment issue is a real thing, and I stand with the artists on that issue, but that LARGE fact aside, it’s a pretty unique experience. Oh, and you never know when you’ll stumble into your new favorite band, so I call that a win! Anyways…here’s some photos and stuff after the jump!

Promising New Single From Youth Sector

Brighton, UK based band Youth Sector just sent over this new single “Run” and I though it needed to be shared with the ATH community. I immediately loved the way these guys create this mixture of 80s rock like Devo with some nice and bright elements of Brit pop. For me, the band is really creating something unique with the blend of these two styles and I expect we’ll be hearing more about them soon. We’ll of course share more tunes as we get them.
