Dark Pop from Alex Cameron
This tune from Alex Cameron came out of left-field. It’s this little bit of electronic pop, but there’s a resemblance to pop forefathers like David Byrne and David Bowie, especially when you get to that computer-distorted guitar line. This is the sort of thing where you’re listening, then you press repeat to make sure it’s as remarkable as you thought. If you listen to the change in vocal after the 3 minute mark, then hopefully, like me, you’ll agree that Alex is someone that we need to keep an eye on. His debut solo record, Jumping the Shark, will make its way into the public’s hand this weekend.
