Crazy Music Tuesday 4/21
If you live here in Austin, tomorrow is one crazy day for live music options in our town. We’re not sure we can remember a day that was so packed as this one as far as music goes. So packed, in fact, that we can’t fit all these shows on our main page. Follow the jump to see full details on all the great shows going down Tuesday.
The big show everyone’s talking about for Tuesday is My Bloody Valentine at Austin Music Hall. This is a special one as it’s one of only five shows planned for the band’s short US tour. Tickets can be bought now for $45. Doors are at 7 with music at 8.
The other big one everybody is buzzing about sees local favorites Spoon playing at the intimate Scoot Inn on the east side. Tickets for this show have been sold out for a while, but craigslist has some listings of people trying to unload a pair or two. Black Nasty opens things up at 7pm.
Another big show at Stubbs features The Faint co-headlining with electro-dance beat makers Ladytron. Tickets for this show can be bought for $25 and music starts around 7 or 8.
If you missed Dr. Dog the last time they were in town, you can catch another one of their shows at The Parish. Golden Boots and Cave Singers will be joining the band on the stage and start around 9pm. Not sure if tickets are sold out or only sold at the door, but The Parish website says they are not currently being sold online.
Finally, a local boys Harlem have a show lined up at Mohawk. Fellow up and comers Woven Bones, New Thrill Parade and Cry Blood Apache will be joining in for support. Tickets are sold only at the door with music starting at 10pm.
