Old School Feeling Pop from Society

Way back in my youth, and probably some of yours as well, there were artists spinning blends of pop around hip-hop breaks and samples, then mixing them with various orchestral arrangements to thicken the sound.  There were certain records from that period that still haunt my computer playlist.  I get a similar feeling when I listen to Society, the project of James Girdler, who seemed reluctant to come out into the open after his first single was so well received.  Listening here, it’s definitely British, definitely enchanting.
