SB Olson Shares No More Trouble

As of late, my tastes have been bouncing all over the place, and that’s kind of where this SB Olson tune hit me. It’s got this little underhanded blues boogie to it; it’s that sort of crunchy barroom scoot that all my red dirt friends were super into during our college years. Plus, with Olson’s heavily warm vocals, you kind of get that sort of classic Americana feel, like one would get when listening to an M. Ward album. The North Dakota songwriter just seems to be writing hit after hit at the moment, so if you’re so inclined, you might want to stop in and give his catalog a little look-see. This tune comes from his latest, Sweet Creatures.

  • Yeah man, your review hit it on the head! His recordings always have a nice warm sound to them…all the more impressive in that he’s a one man operation working from home. I’m digging your “top songs” playlist overall, in fact. Keep up the great work!
