There are some bands that just get you; they write songs that seem perfectly penned for your tastes; Films on Song is one such band…at least with this brand new single. It hangs on the cusp of post-punk stylings; you can easily hear the band on the fence about whether they should jump off and go into the shoegaze realm. But, they hold back, taking those ringing guitar strokes and bending them around the vocal melodies; it all feels heavy, like they’re carrying the burden of the world on their shoulders and trying to fill it with light.
