Jealous Yellow Share Purple Crayon Vid

Seattle outfit Jealous Yellow will be dropping their new record this Fall, and while I’m sure most folks will focus on the frantic nature of their latest single (as I initially did), do yourself a favor and try to peel back the layers here, as it’ll set you on fire. Their opening moments, particularly with the insane rhythm section reminded me a bit of Snooper at first, offering a startling pace that furiously shoved me down the musical hallway here. But, our first entry into the pop realm of this jam is the brooding vocals that soon enter, almost like a shadowy figure calling on the intercom; it quickly gets contrasted against the more dangerous voice growling in the background. There’s consistently so much going on that you’ll miss out on the joy of the song, so best to play it on repeat over and over so you don’t miss a thing!
