I love how we’ve seen so many acts revisiting tricks of the trip-hop trade, or even just incorporating house music into their brand of pop…it’s made for some interesting vibes, like this new Double Wish single. This new track from their Deeper Ecstasy EP has this sway to it, something akin to the haze atop the ocean waters in their home state of California. That’s where the you get the sunshine of the tune, but beneath it, there’s some heavily tripped out beats, slowing the track into this almost ethereal vapor that weaves its way into your brain.
