San Diego’s The Slashes gave me a rush of blood to the head with this new single. Guitars race right into your ear, ripping up these angular notes that make you twirl and stop the floor all at once. Everything feels frantic and dangerous, but the vocals do their part to offset that vibe, teasing a bit of solace amidst the swirling textures.
