We’ve been praising the previous singles from Hopeful Woman, but this new jam is just a special piece that’ll stop you in your path. It’s got these beautiful arrangements that buoy the track, from trickling little piano lines to sweeping string pieces that accentuate the vocal tones. Speaking of that voice…it’s embracing a maturity that usually comes from years and years of songwriting and performances; it feels like she’s standing on a stage and everything behind her has faded away, as her voice its on spotlight on the songwriter.
