No Floor Share Loop
Seattle’s No Floor have a different approach to building in some of the noisier elements popularized in the modern shoegaze/dreamgaze/gaze realm. They’re not building these giant walls that crash upon the listener, instead, they let those elements kind of lurk in the shadow; it’s a murkier sound that allows them to settle into their rhythm, confronting the audience with sporadic guitars that seem ready to explode. And, when they do, it’s not rattling your speakers, as it feels more purposeful and safe from within; this time allowing bassist Sheila’s vocals to work into the mixture in a balanced fashion that will make their peers quite envious.
