Golden Tiles Drop Debut EP

If you’re in need of some lo-fi indie rock to stream over this next week, you’re not going to find much better than the debut EP from Portland’s Golden Tiles. “Tale We Told” takes on a slow-burning cigarette mode, just kind of slowly moving in and out of delicious little melodies and distorted waves of joy; I loved the light-hearted nature of the vocals throughout. Maybe you’re looking for something that feels GBV adjacent, so might we suggest pressing play on “100%,” which uses that heavy bass before careening off into it’s own lo-fi energy.
