It’s here! SXSW is here and with it comes all sorts of folks looking for something new to catch. We were able to grab a quick interview with Holly Macve, the newest signing to Bella Union…she’s making her way to the festival for her first time, so read below to see what she has to say.

Taryn Miller crafts soaring pop masterpieces under the name of Your Friend. Her debut album, Gumption, puts her in the same vein of similar artists like Beach House, though she’s mostly working on her own up in Lawrence, Kansas; I note that because she sounds nothing like what one would associate with the Lawrence scene from a decade ago. The four psych-rock sisters are prepping a new album for release later this year, so keep your eyes peeled, and expect to hear a few new tunes at this year’s fest.
Australia’s Spookyland are a few months away from their release of Beauty Already Beautiful, but they’re hoping to continue building some buzz Stateside with their appearance at SXSW.
