Continuing or ACL coverage today, we are excited to bring you an interview with buzz worthy band Passion Pit. These guys have been getting a whole bunch of praise heaped on them from numerous sources and we tend to think they deserve that praise. We recently spoke with Jeff Apruzzese from the band who discusses the hype and buzz surrounding his band. Of course that’s not all we talk about, but you’ll just have to read more to see it all.

Let the ATH ACL festival madness begin! So we’ve started off light with a few spotlights on lesser known ACL artists and now we’re really getting serious with artist interviews. Last year we spoke to some pretty big bands and we hope to reach as many artists as we can this year. To start off our interview series, we have none other than French pop hit makers Phoenix. Solid collaborations seem to come around only once in a blue moon. On the other hand a FT5 of horrible partnerships could go on for 52 weeks straight without repeat. Eminem and Elton John come to mind, Bowie and Crosby creeping me out, and We Are the World as the gold standard of awesomely bad group efforts. Apart from these, there are plenty out there that have me wishing I had never heard them. So go back with me if you will to a time when CDs were at their height of popularity and I was just a wee little lad wet behind the ears. I had just graduated from the 6th grade and was about to move on into the dark and scary world that is middle school.
These guys made one of our favorite albums of last year which produced one of our favorite songs, so I think it’s obvious that we need to run an ACL spotlight on Blitzen Trapper. Follow the jump to read more about an ATH favorite.
