Before you head out for the weekend, I’m hoping you will save the date for an absolutely insane vinyl market going down at Central Machine Works on Sunday from 11am to 4pm. Why so insane you ask? This event will feature ALL the heavy hitters slinging vinyl in this town, plus music from DJ Dead Flowers and cheap beer/food prices all day. Shop from our local homies Waterloo Records, Breakaway Records, BLK Vinyl, Love Wheel Records, Whetstone Audio, Spaceflight Records, Keeled Scales, The Next Waltz, and 9Mile Records. Yeah, it’s going to be a thing. Oh yeah and I’ll be there as well selling ATH Records releases along with a ton of used LPs, 45s, hats, shirts, memorabilia and posters.
Stop by the booth, say hey, and we’ll make you a deal on something so you go home happy with new music, new digs, and new art for the wall. We promise to be way more chill with a hell of a lot more pricing flexibility than anything featured at Palmer. Nudge nudge, wink wink.
The Vinyl Market takes place inside!
I have always admired Sigur Ros, a unique signature style that could only be hatched in relative isolation. Anytime a song would come across during get togethers, a good friend would offer that seeing the band live was one of the most cathartic and moving experiences, but the stars never aligned for me to see them. When the two-night stand at ACL Live was announced, my friend insisted on getting great seats and sharing that experience. The stars further aligned to allow me attend both nights, the first taking photos to be followed by the full show experience.

Weve got a little show photo coverage action of another night that is part of the manic schedule right now. Good Morning is touring the US after the pandemic prevented travel in support BARNYARD that was released on October of 2021. The record has chill vibes and a few hits. In support, we also saw Packs, bringing back the dream of the 90s.
Lindsey Jordan’s meteoric rise should come as no surprise to anyone, but with the release of Valentine, that build was cemented. So, it should come as no shocker that 
I mentioned in the Interpol review how busy it was last week for Austin’s music audience. The tours are touring again.
We’ve spent a ton of time discussing the Austin acts on this bill, and maybe even put out a release by one of them, so if you haven’t listened to Being Dead, Queen Serene and Future Museums…do so. But, this post is about encouraging you to show up to Hotel Vegas to catch one of the more underrated, yet highly appreciated, acts in the indie sphere:
