If you live here in Austin, tomorrow is one crazy day for live music options in our town. We’re not sure we can remember a day that was so packed as this one as far as music goes. So packed, in fact, that we can’t fit all these shows on our main page. Follow the jump to see full details on all the great shows going down Tuesday.
Many moons ago, we told you about the covers EP(get it on itunes) put out recently by NYC band French Kicks. Well now the guys are making a much anticipated stop in town at Mohawk on Saturday night. Tickets are on sale now for $10 or you can pay $12 at the door. Young Mammals out of Houston and locals Low Line Caller will be opening things up around 9pm.

When a band’s equipment gets jacked everyone wants to kick the culprit’s ass. If you can’t find the guy, a benefit to raise a little money can’t hurt. That’s just what local band When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth have planned for Friday night at Beerland. Several other local artists like Dikes of Holland, Strange Boys, Red X Red M, and Ralph White are joining in to help out. Show starts at 10pm.

Looks like local buzz band White Denim are going to start playing regularly around town again after taking a little break from the Austin scene. The Parish is one of the few places I can’t remember the band playing and the venue should provide a unique experience to see the band. Fellow locals Corto Maltese and Ume will be opening things up. Doors are at 9:30 with music at 10:30. Tickets are on sale now for $9 if you’re of age and $12 if you’re still illegal.
Creekside doesn’t usualy get in on the live music scene too often, but they’ve got a nice local lineup planned for Wednesday night. Austin artist LA Snacks are headlining the show with fellow locals Bankrupt and The Borrowers and The Eastern Sea opening things up. Tickets are at the door for $5. Music is at 10.

I’ll be honest, I haven’t really kept in touch with the music of Electric Six in a few years, but they have to be doing fairly well for themselves considering they are playing outside at Emo’s this Wednesday night; you don’t get that gig being small potatoes. Tickets are way cheap at only $10, and you can buy them here. Rest assured, you’ll be sure to hear their classic hit, and one of my favorites, which I’ve placed below for you enjoyment.

It’s hard to guess precisely what sort of show you’ll get when you go watch BJM, but let’s face it, that’s sort of the fun in the whole thing right? Despite their somewhat unsettling antics, as seen in DIG, the band have still crafted some solid songs over the last decade or so, and you’ll be sure to enjoy such songs when they play tonight at Emo’s. Tickets are still available, so grab one and catch an exciting show.

One of our favorite new Austin bands Frantic Clam is playing another show at Beauty Bar this Tuesday night. The guys will be getting down with fellow locals The Seas and DJ Scorpio spinning in-between things. Music starts at 10pm and the show is free. Like you have anything better to do on a Tuesday night.

Ruta Maya is a venue that probably doesn’t get enough coverage on our site, so we thought we’d throw some love their way for a sweet event they’ve got going down Saturday night. The show is a special one that features several of our favorite local up and coming acts doing nothing but Kinks covers. Lineup includes ATH favorites Golden Bear, The Bubbles, Bankrupt and the Borrowers, Tunnels, Zookeeper and a mess load of other bands that won’t all fit on this page. Music starts at 8:30 with a cover charge of $7. You can get more info on the attached poster or on the Hoot Night myspace page.

Ariel Pink is one of those artists who is fairly unpredictable when it comes to the live show and you never really know what the hell the guy is gonna do. Make your way out to Mohawk on Friday night to catch Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti along with blog hyped band Vivian Girls and opener Yellow Fever. If nothing else, Vivian girls proved by their SXSW sets that they can put on a decent show. Tickets for this show will be sold only at the door with music starting around 9:30.
