The Mountain Goats have a free EP entitled Satanic Messiah that you can download for free in 4 different formats. This EP comes after the band’s February 2008 release of Heretic Pride. Mountain Goats will also be playing Antone’s on Novembver 1st, but we’ll remind you about that closer to the actual date.
This summer I went back in time and rediscovered classic reggae, and by that, I mean the stuff that goes beyond the adoration for Bob Marley. Apparently it all had a great deal to do with the evolution in British punk, as well as that late 90s ska scene over on this continent. In that rediscovery lay the much heralded Toots, who some of you might remember from ACL a few years back. Lucky for me, he is playing tomorrow night at Antones w/ Outlaw Nation. Doors are at 8 PM.
Grupo Fantasma will be bringing their brand of Latin dance music to Antones this Saturday night. Tickets for the event are $16 and can be found on the Antones ticket page. Show time is set for 9pm. Preview the show below with the song “Gimme Some” off their 2008 album Sonidos Gold.
