Found Space Drop Turning Over a New Leaf

Portland dreamer Found Space are set to release their debut EP this June, and they’ve offered a tasty little tease of what’s in store for listeners. Admittedly, it didn’t take much for me to get sucked in, being drawn by the snappy drum work and the wash of synths at the get-go. From there, the track picks up some guitar elements and takes on a bit more depth, only to peel it away back to allow for the vocals to suspend themselves in the air around your ears. All that was quite pleasant, but then they raise the bar at the 1:09 minute mark, letting the energy reach a climax for the pleasure of the audience. Little bit of dance, little bit of dreamy, and a whole lot of hooks. Look for Closer on Spirit Goth on June 28th.

Maria Chiara Argiro Releases Floating

Not quite sure how many times I’ve hit play on this new Maria Chiara Argiro, but I must admit, this might be my absolute favorite of the singles off her new LP. There’s a lot that’s said about her experience in classical music training, and the way the craft develops throughout the first few minutes of this tune, it’s clear she’s well-versed in a creative build. A light autotune vocal creeps in, and as that tune gets electronically molded you can hear the faintest pulse working beneath the tune; I found that it kind of created this swinging movement within the tune that may entirely have been made up inside my brain. My love revolves around the fact that things don’t stop there, instead building and blossoming into this heavy groove that’s built upon this majesty of electronic movement. You better believe Closer is going to turn some heads when it drops on April 26th via Innovative Leisure.

Maria Chiara Argiro Shares Light Video

I’ve really been enjoying this brand new track from Maria Chiara Argiro; it’s a beat heavy pop track, but there’s some experimental work in the empty space of the tune, illustrating the broad range of Maria’s approach to the craft. Listening through, the song works in movements, at times clean and open, at other moments, layer upon layer get draped atop one another to really push the sound to the next level. You can easily label it as dance music, but then you can hear where Argiro is pushing things to the next level. Closer is out April 26th via Innovative Leisure.

Maria Chiara Argiro Announces Closer

I need to admit, I was initially drawn to this new track from Maria Chiara Argiro because of the striking contemporary dance performance; there was something both unsettling and intriguing, which led me deeper into Argiro’s track. It opens carefully, almost tip-toeing into the beat and piano lines; when Maria describes her new record as ‘a dream I’m sort of walking through,” you can almost feel that in the first minute. Then, the vocals began to crawl through the cracks, layered with little backing notes that out this otherworldly element matching up with the video portrayal. If you’re looking for something super cool, something you can sink into, then look for Closer; it drops on April 26th via Innovative Leisure.
