Club 8 Share Daylight Single

For the past few months, Club 8 have quietly gone about their business, releasing single after single, which I keep coming back to enjoy. When this one kicked off, there was a bit more danger in the way the track presented itself; there’s a growl from the bass line too as it works to give the song an edge and a hook simultaneously. But, where the band’s success lies is in there ability to work to create swirling pop realms by providing melodic vocals within tasty little pop nuggets, creating an endearing world that keeps you, and me, coming back over and over again.

Another New Song from Aan (SXSW Act)

AAN_web_press_photo_lo-res_jpgWe’ve been covering Aan for some time, and it seems only fitting that we offer up this latest tune of theirs to close out our Friday offerings.  This tune comes from their Amor Ad Nauseum effort, which is available now.  It’s filled with lofty songwriting, soaring vocals, and an organic structure that reminds me an awful lot of Snowmine .  The Portland act has won over pretty much everyone in their homebase, and it looks like with a big tour lined up-including SXSW-they’ll be happily spreading their tunes to all of us outside the Beaver State.

More New Matt & Kim

About a month ago we gave you the new Matt & Kim track “Good ol Fashion Nightmare” and now we give you more. This new track is called “Daylight” and is oddly released by the new Mountain Dew/Pepsi label Green Label Sound. Who knew Mountain Dew was puttin’ out tunes. Regardless of their label choice, Matt & Kim continue to make some pretty solid pop jams.
