Psych-Pop Gem From Foreign/National

14708144_951634728297574_3054686479470239070_nWe’vebeen watching out for anything new that Australia’s Foreign/Nationalhas been putting out now for a few years, so I’m stoked to share that the band is getting ready to release their debut full-length in the near future and they’ve given us a track to jam to in the meantime. “Too Sentimental,” is a golden tune–very detailed musically, but also a perfect pop song that you can listen to over and over again. I’m digging the twee sounds that open the song and the way the vocals simmer low in the mix along with the percussion, but then move to the spotlight for the chorus. It’s a great song and you should take a listen below and then jump on the Foreign/National train before it leaves the station.

Foreign/National Keep At It

11212165_667579430036440_8599865426910659846_oA little while ago, I shared with you  “Always Blue” from Australian rockers Foreign/National, which is a jam in its own right, but today I’ve got another new track from this band that will further secure your should-be love for them. “The Hedonist” is a tropicalia rock song that has a lot going for it: there are the echo-y vocals, the sharp cutting angular guitars, and some sweet percussive work during the bridge that will have you grooving right along. Enjoy this track from the group and keep your eyes peeled for more from the band.

Warped Pop From Foreign/National

A little while ago, Nathan threw you a song from Aussies Foreign/National and let you know about their killer EP that they released back last September. Well, these gents are back with another single called “Always Blue,” and it is another sure sign that you need to know about this band. This track bounces along in its echo-y mix, the reverb soaked vocals and distorted guitar giving you a hazily distorted pop song that you’ll be jamming to all day. Give it a listen and look out for more from this band– they’re crushing it so far.
