Dreamy Pop from Many Voices

manyvoicesMan, I think this might be the track of the week for me. It’s been a busy week, so Many Voices offers some dreamy respite to kick back and relax. Opening with a shimmering bit of dream pop before the voice of Matilda Mard opens her vocal performance. Each musical step is carefully attended to, and it all seems so purposeful…accomplishing a huge emotional pull as it drifts over five minutes. She’ll be releasing Away for All Time via Hit City USA on October 28th, so keep a look out on this stunning gem.

Golden Suits Will Change Your Day

Fred is known primarily for his work with Department of Eagles, but now he’s ready to make a name for himself on his own. He’s absolutely killing me today with this new track “Gold Feeling”. I suggest you play this one a few times as it seems to get better and better with each and every listen. It’s clearly folk inspired while still giving you an incredible overall pop experience. Prepare to fall in love.

Let The Sunshine In With Avid Dancer

Not much is known about Avid Dancer besides the fact that the man behind the moniker is Jacob Dillan Summers and he’s great at making songs that will have you smiling from ear to ear. Oh you doubt me? Well, go ahead and press play on the little Soundcloud player and feel like you’ve been transported amongst the clouds. It starts out with some acoustic guitar and the delicate vocals that float gently, yet confidently about the rest of the song. Keep listening and you’ll get to my favorite part, where the track really comes together and picks up to a breezy close. Now, get excited because this song is the first single on 1st Bath, the new LP coming out April 14th, so go preorder.  Really, it’s impossible to feel down after you’ve listened to “All Your Words Are Gone,” so share it with a loved one or just let it play on repeat all day long.

WarpaintField Trip.

The day job has changed a bit for me recently to include a little more travel. That means the occasional opportunity to take in a show in another city and get to check out some new venues and make new friends. I ended up in Salt Lake City the same time as Warpaint, who have stirred a bit of controversy lately, and arranged to be able to shoot a show at the Urban Lounge. Opening the night was James Supercave.

New Jam From PAPA

Been enjoying this new song from called “I am the Lion King” from L.A. based pop outfit PAPA.  The tune features Darren Weiss who drums for indie superstars Girls.  It’s a catchy little tune that appears on the band’s new EP A Good Woman Is Hard To Find due out October 4th on Hit City USA Records.  Enjoy.

New Pop Jam From Princeton

It’s not too often that I get sent a song and immediately want to share it with our audience as fast as I can.  This new jam “Clamoring For Your Heart” from long time ATH favorite Princeton is one of those songs already getting major plays in our offices.  It’s only intended as a single as the A-side to a new 7″ due out August 30th on Hit City U.S.A.  Looking forward to more great music from this band in the future.
