In the past, I’ve been swept away by Simen Mitlid‘s delicate musical touches, and as this new single popped up last week, I dove right in, hearing a slight change in the sound. The song’s still steeped in a generous bit of folk-inspired arrangements, but the track has extra layers, building this vibrancy that’s certain to charm listeners. Something about his approach has him dwelling in the softer side of what Peter, Bjorn and John were doing, looping in insane melodic moments in this casual fashion that brims with pop sensibility.
