Show Preview: A. Sinclair Returns to Hotel Vegas – TONIGHT

A. SinclairFirst, this show is all about welcoming back A. Sinclair after their tour; it’s always good to show up and say hi to old friends, buy them a beer before they crash into that post-tour darkened den of sleep for a few weeks. Plus, if you come out early, like a music fan, you can catch Mean Jolene, who will be releasing their debut LP later this year via ATH Records (that’s us!). But, one thing people might be sleeping on in the presence of Tedo Stone of Atlanta, who garnered a lot of great press from the like heavy hitters with their album Marshes last year. Oh, and secretly hiding their all along is Star Parks, who’ve released one of my favorite LPs in Austin this year. It’s going to be cheap, and its going to be fun, and the weather will be cool enough to actually enjoy the great Hotel Vegas patio. See you tonight.

Hope You Bought the New Tedo Stone LP

tedoSome days an album creeps up on you, and all of a sudden you can’t turn it off. This is precisely what happened to me this past weekend when I put on the new Tedo Stone LP. The press release reads as “T. Rex meets Neil Young,” and that’s a pretty good tag, though I think it definitely has some more recent lineage to the likes of Kurt Vile. I think my favorite touch comes from some of the recording, like on this new single, which allows you to hear the detailed guitar strumming when the song goes quiet. His Marshes LP is now out, so do yourself a favor and pick it up.

Fresh Tedo Stone Tune

tedoI love the crunchy glam rock that Tedo Stone‘s crafting, which is good that he’s back with another single.  Just listening to the track, there’s a huge wall of sound waiting there for you, waiting to crash into you.  But, just as you expect it, the song subsides into a softer movement; it’s the perfect twist to gather your attention. On September 18th, you’ll be able to hear more of his work, as he’s set to release Marshes via This Is American Music. What a great Friday tune.

Tedo Stone Will Rock Your Tuesday

tedo stoneI had intentions to post this track last Friday to get you hyped for the weekend, but life happens and I’m sure you were fine with hype levels. Now that we’re in the midst of another week I bet you could use a little bit of rock to get you through the afternoon. “To The Marshes,” from Atlanta’s Tedo Stone is a great blend of all out rock and roll with touches of garage and hints of that lo-fi production that is perfect for a hot summer day. This track is taken from the band’s upcoming release of Marshes which is due out September 18th from This Is American Music.
