Yesterday we were treating you to the electronic excursion of Manchester’s Orielles, but today, we’re going to the city’s softer pop side with a fresh single from Sumos. When the guitar notes pushed through my speakers at the start, I already began to swoon; this is the brand of indiepop that offers those crisp jangles and soothing vocals. The hook of this song works between the juxtaposition of two guitar styles, with one being sharp and angular while the other works in a more distorted manner, so it all feels sunny with a chance of thunderstorms…but like the weather in Austin, it quickly fades into more sunshine.
