For all the brightness and left-of-the-dial hooks that the new Jim Nothing record is offering you, it’s nice to know that there’s a little bit of pensive melancholy within for you to soak right up…and this is that song. Working mostly around a light buzz from a harmonium, the group offer up a light strum, building up a melodic lather by way of the group’s charming vocal approach here. While there’s a natural sadness to the vibe, there’s still a little bit of mischievousness that gets sprinkled in by way of the lyrical work here, perhaps picking up the spirit of the inner child we all wish to let out.
