Single Lash Release Now for the Real World EP

Looks like we’re starting our Wednesday off with a little bit of an Austin-centric focus, celebrating another one of our favorite acts, Single Lash. The group kicks off their latest effort, Now for the Real World, with Roxy Music cover, indicating the maturity with which they’ve approached their new work. The two new songs definitely have roots in the bands nostalgic-leaning sound, but they dwell in the present, pushed on by the careful production and the heavy tones of Nicolas Nadeau; I continue to be fascinated by his stronghold over the drama between syllables, listening in as note seems to breathe on its own. Honestly, I don’t know if I’ve heard the group execute as well as they do on “Now for the Real World,” feeling like they’ve finally hit their apex, though time will tell, as we never tire of their sound!
