Andrew Sa Shares Under You

The ATH team is DJing this Friday, and I’ve already filled my set with tons of indiepop, so I needed a little cleanser like this delightful Andrew Sa track. There’s a measured loneliness in the guitar sound that meanders in the background of the heavy strum; this feels as close to what I think of as country, in a traditional sense. Musically, that’s excellent, but the special voice is in the striking fragility of Andrew’s voice; you’ll find a familiarity, and then as it begins to stretch into some of the higher octaves, your blown back instantly by just how powerful those pipes are! Looking forward to American Rough, which hits on June 26th via Bloodshot Records.
