When I look at the Fun Fun Fun Fest lineup for the weekend, trend setting new band Active Child is one of my must sees of the festival. We caught the live act a couple of years ago, serving as an introduction to the band, and the ATH crew has been fans ever since. Lucky for you and I, the brains behind Active Child, Pat Grossi, made some time to answer a few of our questions. Follow the jump for more.
Today officially marks the beginning of the 2nd weekend at ACL festival here in Austin. I’m sure many of you rocked out last weekend and will be nursing your wounds this weekend at home. There’s not a whole lot of balls to the wall rock n’ roll acts hitting up ACL this year, but there’s definitely a few that I think you’d be disappointed to miss. One is Parquet Courts, and the other is FIDLAR. We were recently able to catch up with Brandon from the latter act to ask him a quick run of questions before they head our way to destroy our ears. We’ve already mentioned that the 7 day period of music we’re currently going through in Austin is just one of those weeks that seems to happen once or twice a month. One I’m personally excited about is the Sunday night show at Mohawk featuring one of my favorite new bands Beach Day. I’d of course not be doing my duty as a reporter if I failed to mention that the show is actually headlined by Blank Tapes with opening support provided by Deep Space. Prior to the show, I sent a couple silly questions to band member Kimmy. Her answers are after the jump.
