Listening to this Aussie outfit reminds me of this sort of sweet spot between Frightened Rabbit and Cursive; it has this quality that borders on both strikingly beautiful and explosive at the same time. But, just as easily as they can explode through your speakers, they can pull it all back and keep the vibe succinct so you’re constantly being pulled bag and forth, like a tug-o-war between light and dark.
