Sound on Sound Interview: Tiny Moving Parts

tmpNext Friday Sound on Sound Fest kicks off what we hope will be an annual event. We threw out some interviews to start previewing the bands that will be gracing the stage, and we’re here with one from Tiny Moving Parts. The band has several albums under their belt, and a lot of praise has been going to this year’s release, Celebrate. Check out what Dylan had to say when we caught up with him. You can stream the new record below too! Thanks to Talia for setting this up.

Hospital Ships Video Debut

hospitalSeems like this is the month for all things Hospital Ships, especially here at ATH. We interviewed Jordan about SXSW, as well as featured several new songs from his forthcoming LP, The Past is Not a Flood. We’re fortunate enough to offer you another special treat today, with a live video of his song “Nothing to Hide.” This is perhaps one of the album’s most personal songs, as well as the most direct in its simplicity. Here we have Jordan working over a piano with his fragile voice carrying the track. The video’s pretty naked emotionally as well; I love seeing him completely lost in the song, as you’re likely to feel the same. Look for the new LP on March 11th via Graveface Records.

SXSW Interviews: Adult Books

adultsAs usual, SXSW has slowly inched ever closer without me feeling like I’m fully prepared just yet. I of course have time and will be working to get myself game ready. We here at ATH also want to get you ready with some exposure to bands coming to town who we feel are worth your time. Today I continue that preparation process with an interview from Cali based Adult Books. Nathan and I both have been loving the band’s new album Running from the Blows (out March 4th on Lolipop Records), so we were both excited for this one. Follow the jump for more.

SXSW Interview: Lance Neptune

0626511-R4-007-2-700x588With our SXSW questionnaires, our objective is to get a different perspective from as many bands as we can who happen to be coming to town and, hopefully, everyone has enjoyed the reads so far. Today I’m please to get some answers from Maryland based electronica/producer artist Lance Neptune. I’m personally excited for this one because it offers a take from an artist whose style isn’t one I usually give much time to. Let’s enjoy. Follow the jump for more.
